Crew saved from burning fishing ship

The Athena fishing boat in dock

An air and sea rescue team has saved 98 crew members from a fishing ship that caught fire in the Atlantic Ocean.

A total of 111 people were on the Athena ship, but 13 have stayed onboard to help fight the fire. No injuries have been reported.

Coastguards were alerted to the fire on Tuesday morning. The 98 crew members made their way onto life rafts as they waited to be rescued.

The fire broke out 230 miles south-west from the Isles of Scilly.
