Scientists found around 200 new species during their survey of the Nakanai and Muller mountain ranges in Papua New Guinea. They found 100 spiders, including this one, the Anelosimus.
The team spent two months surveying the area. They managed to find 24 new species of frog, including this long-nosed frog.
Apparently this montane mouse - with a long-tipped tail is so different to anything experts have ever seen - they think they represent a completely new species.
Nine new plants were found. This plant is the white-flowered Rhododendron. Scientists hope more will now be done to help protect the new species.
