Game review: PlayStation Move

Playstation move

Format reviewed

PlayStation 3

To test out the PlayStation Move controllers properly we used a couple of games. If you're used to the Wii then the Move works in the same way - but it looks very different, a bit like microphones which light up!

If you like mini-games, then 'Start the Party!' could be up your street. It has no real plot, it is just a lot of mini-games. You can choose from a bug swatting game, a painting style game and much more. Up to four players can take part so it's good for a party.

The camera scans your background then puts you right into the action, so you can see yourself on screen. This is a good game to get used to how the Move works and you'll soon be an expert at waving your hands about quickly!

Using the Move controllers made these games brilliant fun.

They are very sensitive to your movements, making the game play incredible.

The only annoying thing is getting the camera to stay in place, you might want to have some sticky putty at the ready.

The games do take a while to get bored of - mainly because the movement is so cool. There is also so much to do!

The graphics for the games were all OK, nothing to blow your mind though.

In most of the games you can choose your difficulty level so you can pick a level that you're happy with.

Hit or miss?

Move, the motion controller for the PS3, is definitely a hit. It is one big leap for technology and one super stride for fun games!
