Athletes pull out of Delhi Games

Some of the UK's top sport stars have said they won't be competing in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Olympic 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu and Lisa Dobriskey, who won the 1,500m at the last Commonwealth Games, are both injured.

But triple jump champion Phillips Idowu says he's not going to Delhi because he is worried about his safety.

The Commonwealth Games are due to start on October 3, but there are fears more athletes may pull out before then.

Phillips Idowu wrote on a social networking website: "Sorry people, but I have children to think about. My safety is more important to them than a medal."

Some officials who've arrived at the Games village have found accommodation dirty and smelly.

Scottish officials described the flats they were given as "unsafe and unfit for human habitation".
