Beauty is one of the many hero dogs that helped save lives during the World War II Blitz bombings, which began on 7 September 1940.
Her owner was an animal rescuer and took her out on patrol with him. Beauty started rescuing animals herself when she went digging one day and saved a buried cat!
Irma the Alsatian helped save hundreds of people, including two young girls trapped under a collapsed house. Irma sniffed them out and refused to budge until they were found.

Collie Cross Peter's proudest moment was saving a small boy after one of the last flying bomb attacks on London. Peter even got to meet the king at the time, King George VI!
