Tell us about your invention!

Young inventor Sam

Eight-year-old inventor Sam has had his double-headed broom named as one of the UK's top 15 inventions of the last decade.

He was just three years old when he came up with the idea for a broom with two brushes.

Send us YOUR pictures
Sam's double-headed broom

It has one that collects the big bits of dirt and one that gets the little bits left behind - so cleaning up is less work!

The broom has even been patented, which means that no one else is allowed to copy the idea.

Now if you watch Newsround then you must be a pretty bright spark, so we want to know - what have YOU invented? Or what invention would you like to see?

This page is now closed. Here are some of the comments your sent in.

"Well I think that my invention would be hover shoes. I read that jets are powered by the escaping of gas. I personally think this is a good idea, but the only problem is you wouldn't be able to go very far with the vacuum."
