Andy Murray has suffered a shock exit from the US Open third round thanks to Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka.
The fourth seed took the first set in a tie-break but things then went downhill as Murray began to struggle physically.
He went on to be beaten by the 25th seed in four sets, 6-7 (3-7) 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 6-3.
Murray suffered problems with his thigh and elbow but said afterwards of his opponent: "He played better than me. There's not a whole lot more to it."
Murray also said: "I was disappointed that I was struggling physically. I tried to find a way to come back. Didn't quite do it."
There had been high hopes for the 23-year-old Scot to take his first Grand Slam title at the US Open.
