The drilling operation to rescue the 33 trapped miners in Chile has been stopped for a short while after engineers found a fault in the rock.

It means the walls of the escape shaft being drilled have to be strengthened with cement before work can continue.

It's a big setback for the rescue mission, which began drilling on Monday at the San Jose mine.

Earlier the miners received their first hot meal since getting trapped, which included meatballs and rice.

The meals were packed into small cups and sent down a narrow pipe.

Up until then, the miners had only been given sugar tablets, milk and water.

A group of experts from Nasa has arrived at the mine to give advice on how to keep the miners healthy.
