Single Review: Robbie Williams & Gary Barlow - Shame

Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow are reunited with new single Shame

Release date

4 October 2010.

The style

When Robbie Williams split from Take That in 1995, thousands of their fans across the country cried for days.

Fast forward 15 years and now Robbie and Gary Barlow, another member of Take That, have reunited to make this new single - and it's probably going to make your mum really happy to see them back together!

Even if you haven't heard their music from the first time around, you may well still like this pop song, which sees the boys say sorry to one another about arguments they had in the past.

The words

This is a really sweet song, where Robbie and Gary spend the whole time apologising to one another for all the bad things they said in the past.

If you've ever fallen out with a friend and then made up, you'll know EXACTLY what they're talking about.

It's quite a meaningful song but it still has a cheeky sense of humour and the words will leave you feeling happy.

Will you still be humming it next week?

It's not the catchiest tune but it's definitely one you can sing along to when it comes on the radio.

Will it make the charts?

Take That still have loads of fans who will be very happy to see Robbie and Gary back together, but quite a lot of you might like this song as well.

Robbie is also set to rejoin the rest of the band to release new music later in the year, and if this single is anything to go by they're bound to have lots of hits.

NR rating:

Three out of five
