Is the moon shrinking?

New photos from space seem to show that the moon is getting smaller.

Scientists have been able to see cracks in the moon's surface which means it is contracting and shrinking.

It's around 4.5 billion years old and has got smaller by 100 metres.

But astronomer Dr Marek Kukala tells us there's no chance of it disappearing completely!
