Striker Craig Bellamy has gone on loan from Manchester City to Cardiff for the next year.
The Wales captain was born and brought up there.
He's been looking to leave Manchester City because boss Roberto Mancini had left him out of the main squad for the Premier League this season.
He said: "I'm thrilled... and excited at the prospect of wearing the shirt and playing for the club I've supported since I was a boy."
He added: "It has been my dream to play my part in taking my home town club to the Premier League, which would be fantastic for the football club, the city of Cardiff and Wales."
Bellamy has played for eight different clubs in his career and has cost nearly £45m in transfer fees.
His new boss at Cardiff, Dave Jones, says he can't wait for the striker to start.
Dave Jones said: "Bringing Craig to Cardiff is another big step in the development of this football club and I am delighted."
He added: "Craig is a great talent and adds to the quality players that we have here."
