Man United win Community Shield as new season starts

Manchester United

The new football season has started with a win for Manchester United who beat Chelsea in the Community Shield.

Antonio Valencia got the first for United, followed by a lucky goal from new signing Javier Hernandez who managed to use his ankle and head!

Chelsea, who beat Alex Ferguson's men both home and away last season, managed to get one back from Salomon Kalou.

But United finished the game in style with a lob from Dimitar Berbatov jn the last minute.

Some of the players from England's World Cup squad were booed by the crowd after their poor performances in South Africa.

And after the game Manchester United and England defender Wes Brown announced that he's retiring from international football.

His decision follows goalkeeper Paul Robinson who did the same over the weekend.
