More rhinos being killed by poachers in South Africa

Fears for the safety of South African Rhinos

It might be illegal to hunt rhinos, but that hasn't stopped a rise in the numbers being killed in game parks in South Africa this year.

Rhino horns are very special and can make poachers a lot of money when sold - in Asia they're used in some medicines.

In parks in South Africa where rhinos can roam freely, around 130 have been killed already this year.

It's a real worry for the people who try and look after their numbers, as Ricky's been finding out.
