There's nothing better than relaxing with a cold ice cream on a warm summer's day.
But it turns out it's not just you and me that can enjoy an ice cold treat when the sun's out, some of our furry friends can too!
"When it's hot and stuffy, the sound of an ice cream van melts away my bad mood. So you can imagine how pleased I was to hear the chimes of an ice cream van during a sunny day in London. But hang on a minute, this van isn't for you and me
it's for our furry friends.
Ice cream van for dogs
A new ice cream van is about to go on tour across England, selling specially made ice cream for dogs. Instead of the traditional vanilla scoop and lollies, you can buy a tasty frozen treat for your pet.
Scientists came up with two different flavours. They are: Dog Eat Hog World and Canine Cookie Crunch.
The ice cream doesn't contain any milk. It has been replaced with an ingredient called soya. It looks like ice cream, it comes in a cone and it's frozen. Unfortunately, Newsround thought it would be a good idea for me to try out one of the flavours.
I was (un)lucky enough to taste the Dog Eat Hog World flavour. Trust me, it tastes even worse than it sounds.
The cold treat contains gammon and pieces of chicken all mixed into a smooth soya sorbet. After one bite, I felt sick. My stomach started to turn and I desperately needed a cold drink to take the bad taste away. After the ice cream melted, I was left with chunks of chicken in my mouth - Yuck!
It's a different story for the dogs, they've been wolfing down the summer treats. I, on the other hand, am going to stick to a sweet and fruity ice lolly.
