In pics: Spain into their first World Cup final

Spanish fans have plenty to shout about after their team beat Germany 1-0 on Wednesday to make it into their first World Cup final.

Spain are already European champions - a title that they pipped Germany to!

Spain dominated most of the semi-final in Durban, but the first half remained goalless.

The Spaniards had lots of chances, like this missed opportunity from striker David Villa.

Fans had to wait until the 73rd minute for the first and only goal of the game. It came from a header by Spanish defender Carles Puyol.

Puyol's goal resulted in the Spanish side's third 1-0 victory in a row.

German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger felt the pain of defeat. His country were knocked out at the semi-final stage in the last World Cup too.

Spain now face the Netherlands in the World Cup final on Sunday. And get this - German boss Joachim Low has backed Spain to win. "They are the masters of the game," he said.
