Liverpool name their new boss

New Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson

Liverpool have announced that Roy Hodgson will be their new manager.

He's replacing Rafael Benitez, who left the club at the start of June after a really disappointing season in the Premier League.

Hodgson, who had been in charge of Fulham since December 2007, has signed a three-year contract with Liverpool.

He told their website: "This is the biggest job in club football and I'm honoured to be taking on Britain's most successful football club."

Hodgson took Fulham to the Europa League final last season, and won the League Managers Association manager of the year award in May.
