Excitement has reached fever pitch among football fans as England play their most crucial match of the World Cup so far.

England have to win Wednesday's game against Slovenia to be certain of making it into the knockout stages.

Fans have been disappointed with England's performance so far, but coach Fabio Capello has insisted his team is focused and ready to win.

And some schools have even shut early so kids can watch the crucial match!

Footy boss Fabio Capello has made three changes to the line-up - calling up Matthew Upson, James Milner and Jermain Defoe.

Capello admitted he might have "made some mistakes" in the team's previous two games, but said this would not happen again.

"The players are happy," he said. "They trained very well. I think it's normal to have pressure at the moment. We have a play-off to be in or out. We have to win."

'Nation proud'

And captain Steven Gerrard was just as confident.

He added: "It is a do-or-die situation. We need to perform, we need to improve on the last performance.

"We want to make the nation proud and happy and a good win can give the players more confidence."
