England manager Fabio Capello has said John Terry shouldn't have spoken out about problems in the England camp.
Terry told a big group of journalists on Sunday that the team needed to have a meeting about how they were playing.
But Capello said he should have kept his worries within the team.
"When you speak you have to speak privately," the England coach told ITV.
"This is the big mistake - a very big mistake."
Terry later said sorry for speaking out, and upsetting other players.
He told a newspaper: "It was never my intention to upset the manager or players and if I did, I apologise.
"All I was trying to do was stress how it important it is to me to try and win the World Cup."
England drew 0-0 with Algeria, and will have to beat Slovenia on Wednesday to progress to the next round.
