While oil company BP is trying to stop the oil leak off the coast of America, the damage to the environment is getting worse and worse.

At least 27 million litres of crude oil have flowed into the water since the pipe started leaking in April, and it's threatening lots of wildlife.

There have been a number of attempts to plug the leak, but so far they haven't been successful.

Sonali and Ricky found out more from Grahame Madge who is from the charity that protects birds, the RSPB.
