Weeping Angels

The creators of Doctor Who have announced a live show based on the hit TV series will be showing in theatres around the UK later this year.

The stage show will include live music, special effects and appearances from the show's most popular monsters.

Audiences will be treated to appearances from the Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Judoon and Oods.

The live performance will be mixed with special video clips from the TV show which will appear on massive screens.

The idea has been developed by the man who's in charge of the TV show.

Steven Moffat said: "This is everything I ever wanted since I was eleven. A live show, with all the coolest Doctor Who monsters."

The stage show starts in wartime London and ends with an epic onstage battle.

The actors from the TV series won't be appearing on stage.

Tickets for Doctor Who Live at venues including London, Sheffield, Glasgow, Cardiff, Liverpool and Belfast go on sale on 21 June.
