EastEnders star Lacey Turner is leaving her role as Stacey Branning after more than five years in the soap.
The 22-year-old, whose character was revealed as the killer of Archie Mitchell in a live episode in February, wants to try to work in films.
Gillian Wright, who plays Stacey's mum Jean on the show, is also leaving later this year.
Lacey said she'd had a fantastic time playing Stacey, but "the time has come to try something different".
Stacey and her mum Jean will leave the show later this year
Show bosses have promised a "typically dramatic Slater family exit" for Stacey and her mum.
But it looks as if Stacey won't be killed off, as they said the door would be left open for her to return.
News of Stacey and Jean's departure from the show follows the revelation earlier in April that characters including Minty, Libby Fox and Danny Mitchell are also leaving.
