Liverpool and Fulham were both in action in their Europa League semi-finals. Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by Atletico Madrid in Spain.
Some terrible defending let Diego Forlan, who used to play for Manchester United, score for Atletico. It means Liverpool will have to beat them at home next week.
Liverpool and around 700 fans had to make the 1,200 mile journey by land. It was because the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland caused their flights to be cancelled.
Meanwhile Fulham took on Hamburg in the other semi-final in Germany. The game finished 0-0 thanks to some amazing goalkeeping by Fulham's Mark Schwarzer.
The teams play again back in the UK next week. There's a chance it could still be an all-England final in the competition.
