An Austrian skydiver is preparing for a record-breaking jump that would see him fall 24 miles before landing back on Earth!

Felix Baumgartner will have to wear a special space suit to protect him from extreme air pressure and cold.

Baumgartner claims the project will help gather scientific information about the stratosphere and how the body copes in such harsh conditions.

The jump is likely to take place sometime later this year.
