'Roadrunner' dinosaur discovered

Roadrunner dinosaur Xixianykus zhangi

A fossil of one of the quickest-ever dinosaurs has been discovered in China.

The dinosaur is called the Xixianykus zhangi, but it's better known by scientists as the "roadrunner" because of its speedy reputation.

It's also one of the smallest dinosaurs that experts know about, measuring just half a metre long.

It's thought it used its speed to avoid larger predators and was likely to have survived on a diet of small insects, such as termites and ants.
