Parents don't understand homework

Parents don't understand homework

More than four in five parents find it difficult helping their children do their homework.

A new survey shows that lots of mums and dads don't understand what their kids are supposed to be doing, and one in three say it makes them feel embarrassed or a bad parent.

One in three kids reckon they can't finish their homework without help from someone at home.

And lots more say if they don't get help it takes them much longer to do.

One in six kids say they ask their mums and dads for help with homework every day.

And the subject parents find hardest is maths, followed by science.
