Remembering Haiti one month on

One month ago Haiti changed forever when a huge earthquake hit the Caribbean nation.

It was one of the worst natural disasters the world has seen in recent times.

On Friday people across the world remembered the time the earthquake struck, and spent time thinking about the people it affected.

Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world, which is why it struggled to cope with the disaster.

Lots of people there don't have any jobs, and the country doesn't make much money.

For the last few years the United Nations (UN) has been helping them.

It has soldiers there to try to keep things peaceful, and it helps the government try to run the country.
