Stranded panda rescued from cliff

The panda stuck on the mountain

Cliff rescue for stranded panda

A hungry panda's been rescued from a cliff in south-west China after it got stuck whilst out searching for food.

Villagers reckon it was looking for something to eat before it got lost and scared and became stuck for hours.

Rescuers tried to get the panda to come down on its own with no success, before finally managing to tempt the creature off the cliff using bananas.

Giant pandas are an endangered species and experts reckon there are now only around 1590 left in the wild in China.
