Haiti single played on UK radio

Listen to the Haiti single

Simon Cowell's single to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake will be played on the radio for the first time on Tuesday.

Acts including JLS, Leona Lewis, Cheryl Cole and Miley Cyrus have contributed to the song.

It's a new version of the REM classic Everybody Hurts, which was a huge hit back in 1993.

The song will be available for radio play after 8am on Tuesday, and can be downloaded from February 7.

Money raised from sales of the single will go to the Helping Haiti appeal, which is being run by The Sun newspaper.

Global recording

More than 20 artists got involved in the recording, with many laying down their vocals at studios around the world.

Singers whose voices can be heard on the record include Susan Boyle, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey and members of Westlife.
