No moon trips for US astronauts

Moon landing

The president of the USA has decided to scrap plans to send humans back to the moon.

They were going to send astronauts and a rocket called Orion to the moon's surface by the year 2020, but Barack Obama says it's too expensive.

He said it meant that other US space agencies were losing out, and that the plans for the moon were "behind schedule".

The people who have been working on the project aren't too happy about it.
