Arsenal keep up the pressure

Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida

Arsenal are only three points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea after they beat Bolton 2-0 on Sunday.

It was Owen Coyle's first game as Bolton manager but not the start he was hoping for.

Cesc Fabregas and Fran Merida scored for the Gunners as they keep the pressure up at the top of the table.

Arsene Wenger's side are just a win away from going top over Chelsea, and they're only two points behind rivals Manchester United.

Wenger said: "We survived a few difficult spells... but overall we had a serious and controlled game."

And bizarrely the two teams face each other again in the league in just two days time!
