Dappy 'sorry' over text threats

Dappy with the rest of N-Dubz

N-Dubz rapper Dappy has apologised to a woman for sending her threatening text messages after she contacted a radio show to say she didn't like the band.

Chloe Moody texted Radio One's Chris Moyles Show while the band were being interviewed, calling them "losers" and saying Dappy was "repulsive".

She was shocked to get a threatening message the next day. When she called the sender, Dappy insulted her again.

The BBC say Dappy took down her number without anyone knowing.

N-Dubz were ambassadors for the anti-bullying charity Beatbullying, but were dropped after the incident.

Dappy - real name Dino Contostavlos - said: "I called her in the heat of the moment when I was angry, but that is no excuse for my behaviour.

"I'm genuinely sorry. I'd also like to send my sincerest apologies to Radio 1."
