The British version of the X Factor will still be shown in the autumn as planned, say ITV.
There were fears the show would clash with an American version that's being launched by the X Factor judge in 2011.
But ITV said: "We are absolutely planning for the X Factor to return this autumn and next."
Simon Cowell announced this week that he's leaving American Idol to work on America's X Factor, but said he'll still be involved in the British show.
There are already loads of rumours about who'll be judges on the American version.
Apparently, Simon Cowell has asked Victoria Beckham if she'd be interested and there are also reports that presenter Dermot O'Leary and judge Cheryl Cole will be involved.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell is said to have signed a £12 million deal with ITV to stay on The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent until at least 2012.
