Anne Frank helper dies aged 100

Anne Frank

Miep Gies, the last surviving member of the group of people who helped protect Anne Frank and her family, has died.

Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who hid from the Nazis in World War Two. Miep helped her by bring her food and drink.

The Franks were eventually captured, and most of them died in concentration camps. However Anne left behind a diary, which has become very famous.

Miep spent a lot of her life working to make sure Anne, and the millions of people like her, are not forgotten.

Anne Franks diary is one of the most famous accounts of what happened to normal families.
