Wills and Harry picture revealed

Prince Harry and William's portrait

Fans of Prince William and Prince Harry can now see the first-ever official portrait of the two brothers together.

The princes are seen chatting to each other and are wearing formal military uniform in the picture, which was painted by artist Nicky Philipps.

It's on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

William and Harry got to see the painting just before Christmas and were "very pleased" with it, a gallery spokesperson said.

Although the Royal brothers have been in official portraits together before, it's always been with other people as well. This is the first time that it's just the two of them.

William and Harry had to go to five different sittings - which means posing for the artist - at Philipps' studio.

It took the artist a total of six months to finish it.

Philipps said she didn't want to make it too formal and she hoped she had captured the "brotherly banter" between the two.

The princes had to fit the sittings around their military careers.
