Snow has struck again across much of north England and Ricky's been out with his camera in Manchester where Newsround's northern office is.

Ricky said: "People across the north of England in places like Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester woke up to find about 17cm of snow on the ground. I was one of them."

"This morning I woke up to find my balcony completely covered in snow and the view was pretty impressive. For miles and miles all I could see was white."

"Walking to work through the centre of Manchester was quite hard. Heavy snow caused a number of cars to break down and I saw a few people slip on the ice."

"By 9am plenty of snowmen had already been built and even grown ups were enjoying it, throwing snowballs and taking pictures."

"I managed to take a few snaps too, while desperately trying not to fall over or get completely soaked by the snow."

"Eventually I got in to work, later than usual. Now I'm going to hit the streets to speak to a few kids and film a report about all this snow."

"So if you see me… please don't throw any snowballs at me!" said Ricky.
