Liverpool striker Fernando Torres netted his 50th league goal for the club as the Reds beat Aston Villa 1-0.
Torres found the net in the final minute of the match, swooping on a loose ball to tuck it into the corner and give Liverpool all three points.
The win moves Liverpool up to seventh place in the Premier League, just two points behind Villa in sixth.
The win wasn't all down to Torres though, as Reds' goalkeeper Pepe Reina made a number of key saves as well.
Hull City's Stephen Hunt and Bolton's Fabrice Muamba
The other Premier League match saw Gary Megson take charge of his final Bolton Wanderers game before he was sacked.
Bolton led the match 2-0 thanks to goals from Ivan Klasnic and Kevin Davies, but let their relegation rivals Hull City get back into the match when Stephen Hunt scored twice.
And Hull could have scored a winner themselves had Jan Vennegor of Hesselink not wasted a really good chance to bag all three points.
