River clean-up in India

Officials in India have decided to clean up the River Ganges.

The 1,500-mile river is one of the most polluted rivers in the world.

Environmentalists say the river supports more than 400 million people, and if the pollution problem is not sorted out, people will no longer be able to live along its banks.

Now the Indian government is helping by making it illegal for anyone to dirty the river.
