Former world champion Michael Schumacher is a step closer to returning to Formula 1 after Ferrari said he could join another team.
The seven-time title winner has been a consultant for Ferrari since he retired back in 2006.
He was set for a comeback earlier this year in place of injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa.
But Schumacher himself had a neck injury which meant he wasn't fit enough to get back on the track.
But now he's being linked with a move to c who have taken over championship-winning team Brawn.
They've already signed Nico Rosberg for 2010.
If Schumacher does join Mercedes it would be an all German line-up for the German manufacturer.
