Katy Perry was one of the hosts as the nominations for American music awards the Grammys were announced in Los Angeles.
And it proved to be a bit of a ladies' night, with Beyonce bagging 10 nominations, including album of the year for I Am Sasha Fierce and best female.
But she will need to beat off competition from Taylor Swift, who was nominated in the same category for her album Fearless, one of the eight awards she is up for.
Lady Gaga wasn't at the nominations ceremony but is still up for five awards, including best album, record of the year and song of the year.
The Black Eyed Peas opened and closed the night with their hit I Got A Feeling, which was nominated for both record of the year and album of the year.
Nick Jonas also performed, with his side project The Administration for the first time. It looks a bit weird to see him without his brothers, doesn't it?
The Ting Tings will be flying the flag for the UK when the awards are handed out on 31 January 2010 in Los Angeles. They are nominated in the best new artist category.
