Wales crushed by Australia's win

James Hook of Wales is challenged by Matt Giteau of Australia

Wales suffered one of their worst home defeats as they lost 33-12 to Australia at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Digby Ioane, James Horwill and David Pocock got the Wallabies off to a blistering start, with each scoring a try within the first 25 minutes.

By half-time, Wales had seen injuries to Shane Williams, Leigh Halfpenny and Matthew Rees and the score was 23-12.

Hopes of a Wales comeback were then shattered after the break by a Tatafu Polota-Nau try.

The defeat was the biggest home loss for Wales coach Warren Gatland in his two years in charge.
