Portsmouth sack manager Paul Hart

Paul Hart

Portsmouth are looking for a new manager after sacking boss Paul Hart on Tuesday evening.

The Premier League strugglers are bottom of the table with only seven points from their opening 12 games.

It's thought former Chelsea manager Avram Grant, who already works for the club as director of football, will be asked become Portsmouth's next manager.

However there are some reports that Sir Alex Ferguson's son Darren may be in line for the job instead.

Hart only took on the job himself in February when Tony Adams was sacked as Portsmouth manager.

Hart did help the team avoid relegation, but after selling a lot of players to make sure Portsmouth had enough cash, he couldn't get the team playing well enough.

Man United next

It'll be a tough start for whoever takes over as manager as Pompey host Premier League champions Manchester United in their next match on Saturday.
