George Sampson used to be bullied

George Sampson was called names when he was at school because he preferred dancing to playing football.

He told Newsround his story:

"When I was growing up all the kids thought I was weird as while they went off to play footie I did dance lessons.

They called me twinkle-toes, dancing queen - all the insults they could think of as they didn't like me being different.

It would've been a lot easier if I'd stopped, but I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life.

And all those lads that used to bully me try to be my best mate now!

That's OK if it means their attitudes have changed - they weren't my real friends anyway.

I know who my [real] friends were - they ones who stood by me didn't take the mick and didn't care what anyone else thought."
