Rooney to lead England in friendly

England are taking on Brazil and with John Terry injured Wayne Rooney is going to step up and lead the side.

The Manchester United striker will be running out as captain for the first time today.

England boss Fabio Capello is keeping usual Captain John Terry out of play for the sake of the Chelsea star's health

All eyes are on Wayne Rooney as the new dad leads the England squad in their match in Doha.

Terry's injury worries come after his Chelsea team mate Frank Lampard flew home on Thursday with a thigh injury.

The friendly international match is being played at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha

And England are not the only home nation in action today, Wales have beaten Scotland 3-0 in Cardiff.

While Northern Ireland are up against Serbia at home in Belfast's Windsor Park.
