Pupils design own school loos

We designed our own school loos!

Are your school loos in need of a makeover? Well, at one school the kids took things into their own hands.

The pupil council at a primary school in Bootle complained that their toilets were smelly and unpleasant, so teachers let them design new ones.

The boys' loos have been decorated in a space theme, and the girls' are covered in musical notes and hearts.

And they're good for the environment too, as they have been fitted out with energy efficient hand dryers.

The loos have also been fitted with special sensors and two flush options to help save water.

It's hoped the new loos will make younger kids more confident about going to the toilet when they are new at the school.
