Flu forces Bruce Forsyth to miss Strictly Come Dancing

Bruce Forsyth and Anton Du Beke

The first ever episode of Strictly Come Dancing without host Bruce Forsyth will be shown on Saturday as he has flu.

The 81-year-old entertainer has never missed a show in the past five series of the hit dance contest.

Co-presenter Tess Daly is going to take his place, and Claudia Winkleman will fill her shoes for her backstage chats with contestants.

Bruce is said to be recovering from flu at his home in Surrey and is missing the show on doctor's orders.
