Police puppycam goes global

Police puppycam goes global

Check out these cute new recruits to the Northumbria Police force.

These police dog pups were born on 15 October and a webcam in their kennel is keeping an eye on their doggy antic.

But it's not just the police or local people who are spying on the German shepherd pups.

The webcam has become a global success, attracting 177,620 hits.

People as far away as United States and Canada are logging on to puppy cam.

The puppies' mum is called Heidi. She has given three litters of pups to the police force.

Their dad, Jack, is one of the largest and tallest dogs in the force, weighing 41kg so it looks like these pups will be pretty big when they are fully grown.

But for now these little guys are still enjoying life on camera - they are world famous after all - and they even have their own dog blog.
