England have suffered their second defeat in a row to Australia at Twickenham, in the first of Rugby Union's autumn internationals.
The game started off well for England as Jonny Wilkinson marked his return with an early drop-goal and two penalties to put the home side ahead.
But Australia took control after the break with two Will Giteau penalties and a converted Adam Ashley-Cooper try.
The game ended 18-9, giving Australia a winning start to their Grand Slam tour.
England had gone into the match suffering from an injury crisis, which meant about their first choice players had to miss out.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Wales will be trying to beat New Zealand for the first time since 1953 when they kick off at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium at 5.30pm.
