At this time of year, loads of people are buying fireworks ready to set off around bonfire night.

But police are warning of the dangers of buying dodgy fireworks, as loads of people get hurt using them.

Fireworks cause almost 1,000 accidents every year and, of those, around 250 involve children who are aged between five and 12.

Police inspectors have been busy going round shops to make sure the fireworks they sell are safe to use.

They're checking that the fireworks have stickers on them proving that they were made properly and that they've been stored in the correct way.

If your family is putting on a display - have an amazing time and stay safe!
