Late goals in the Champions League have made it very difficult for Rangers and Liverpool to reach the next round.
Liverpool looked on course for a big win away to Lyon when Ryan Babel scored a long-range effort, but then Lyon netted too to make the final score 1-1.
That goal came from Lyon's Lisandro and means Liverpool may not qualify from the group stages of the competition.
Rangers could also be knocked out after drawing their match with Unirea Urziceni 1-1 in Romania.
The Scottish champions also opened the scoring, when Lee McCulloch blasted the ball into the net with only 12 minutes left.
But Marius Onofras struck with an even better strike in the 88th minute to level the scores.

The result leaves Rangers at the bottom of Group G, while Liverpool sit in third spot in Group E.
Both sides will need to win their final two games to give themselves a chance of making the next round, as well as hoping their rivals get some bad results of their own.
Big win for Arsenal
Things are very different for Arsenal, who now need to draw one of their final two games to seal a spot in the next round.
The Gunners thumped Dutch side AZ Alkmaar 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium, with Cesc Fabregas once again starring for the home team.
He and Russian star Andrei Arshavin were both brilliant for Arsenal, helping Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby also find the net.
