Chelsea and Manchester United are both through to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

It was a dramatic night of football but in the end both sides landed draws to secure their places in the last 16.

Manchester United were saved by a injury-time goal, battling back from 3-1 down against CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford to draw 3-3.

While Chelsea were held 2-2 by Atletico Madrid after letting in a late goal away in Spain.

Didier Drogba was the man of the hour for the London side, scoring both Chelsea's goals.

He was returning to the Champions League after a three-game European ban.

Own goal

While back at Old Trafford goals from Paul Scholes and Michael Owen kept the Reds in the game.

But it was an unlucky own goal from CSKA player Shchennikov that kept the Manchester side's 22-match unbeaten home record alive.

The United win made it an extra special day for Wayne Rooney, as it was his first run out for the Reds since becoming a dad.
